The process

Step-by-step

Each step lists the documents involved and the person responsible. If the workplace rejects the student (FC2) or the final result is "U", the process returns to Step 1.

    Finding a workplace

    • Students can contact and find a workplace by themselves.
    • ISE also announces overseas and local internship opportunities on the ISE website and Facebook page.

    Personal details & internship request

    • Students fill in their personal details and upload a photo through Moodle (moodle.ise.eng.chula.ac.th).
    • When a student wishes to apply for an internship at a specific workplace, they fill in the student internship request form (FC0) through Moodle.
    • Students can then print / collect the FC1 letter and send it to the organisation.

    Workplace confirmation

    • The organisation fills in the confirmation of student's workplace form (FC2), replying whether it accepts or rejects the student.
    • If rejected, return to Step 1. Note: FC0 can be requested again only once the previous organisation has rejected the student.

    Register for Industrial Training (2140301)

    • Students register for the course in a summer semester and pay the tuition fees.

    Orientation of Industrial Training

    • Attendance is compulsory.

    Conducting the internship training

    • Minimum of 280 working hours, covering at least 35 working days or 7 weeks.
    • Students submit an assigning letter (FC3) to their supervisors.
    • Students fill in the complete details of the training organisation (MD1) within the first week of training (10%).
    • Students submit a bi-weekly report (MD2) within 3 days after every two weeks; evaluators grade the bi-weekly reports (10%).

    Industrial visit from evaluator

    • For domestic internships only.
    • Students arrange the industrial visit with their supervisor and evaluator.
    • After visiting the company, the evaluator fills in the Industrial Visit report (MD6).

    Report submission

    • Students follow the guideline and cover page (MD3) and submit the Industrial Training report (MD4) on Moodle.

    Evaluation

    • Evaluators grade the Industrial Training report (40%).
    • Supervisors evaluate the students (40%).
    • Industrial Training coordinators summarise the result and submit grades. If the result is "U", return to Step 1.

How the grade is built

Evaluation criteria

  • 10%Training organisation details (MD1)

  • 40%Industrial Training report (MD4)
  • 40%Supervisor evaluation (MD5)

Industrial Training coordinators summarise the result and submit the grades. A result of "U" sends the student back to Step 1.

Requesting organisation
