and Inspire Aerospace Engineering Students

On 14 November 2024, we were honoured to welcome Mr. John Burke, Chief Technical Officer of AerCap, and Mr. Prakash Thirunavakarasu, Vice President Technical, APAC, to Chulalongkorn University. Their visit highlighted the strong partnership between AerCap and our Faculty of Engineering.

The session began with a strategic meeting between AerCap executives and the Faculty’s Dean, joined by ISE management and the Aerospace Engineering faculty members. Key discussions focused on the impact of the AerCap Scholarship Program, potential Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, and opportunities for further industry-academic collaboration. We are grateful to AerCap for their commitment to supporting and inspiring our students.

Following the formal session, AerCap executives joined an informal meet-and-greet with AerCap scholarship recipients and other aerospace engineering students. This open exchange allowed students to hear firsthand from industry leaders about career paths, industry trends, and the skills needed to thrive in the aviation sector.
